SecuMailer has a REST API for sending secure emails. Both the GDPR and the NTA 7516 functionality are fully accessible via this API.

The API is documented with OpenAPI specification 3.0.1.

The REST API has webhook functionality, which means that the SecuMailer platform can communicate email events with an HTTPS endpoint of the sender.

SMTP API

The SMTP API is usually the simplest integration option for many backend applications because backend applications often have a provision for an SMTP client on board.

We have successfully integrated for customers with Salesforce, SAP and Centric. We have also successfully integrated with patient file systems such as Medisoft Dossier Manager.

GraphQL API

The SecuMailer platform offers insight into email events. This can be done on the basis of a (push) webhook call (see REST API above) and on the basis of a (pull) GraphQL endpoint.

SecuMailer's approach allows all colleagues to send secure emails from their work accounts, regardless of whether they are using a work laptop, their phone, or their home PC. SecuMailer also offers a lot of flexibility in terms of security levels. It is easy for us to determine which email addresses always use NTA email and which use AVG. We also use the plug-in, which allows us to have a group of employees who can choose their own security level.

Paul is my regular point of contact during the implementation of both the GDPR and the NTA. At first, I didn't understand much because I haven't been in my current position for very long and there was a lot of new information for me. I have an hour scheduled with Paul every week to discuss progress. What I like is that he has an answer to every question and can explain technical issues in simple terms to someone with a less technical background.

Sometimes I don't quite understand what he means, but then he explains it in a different way. For example, the system administrators were a bit skeptical at first; they were afraid that SecuMailer would conflict with the old solution during implementation. Paul guided us through this and explained to me how and why it would work without any problems. What I found remarkable, and something I don't often encounter, is that Paul also helped me with the explanation I could give to the system administrators. He really thinks along with me about how I can best explain things without it becoming too technical for me. In the end, everything went exactly as Paul said it would, and the SecuMailer solution ran seamlessly alongside our old solution. “

The flexibility that SecuMailer offers is ideal. We use it actively and the solution works well. It is super user-friendly; our employees hardly notice it. I would like to give it 5 stars, but we are not quite finished with the NTA implementation yet. So far, I am satisfied with the service and clear communication. We encountered a few minor issues, but we received a response on the same day. Not every time was it the answer we wanted, for example, that the solution would follow the next week. But I really appreciate the fact that you get a response on the same day. Since the introduction of AVG email, we haven't received any questions from users about the ‘new’ way of working. We've noticed that some people are curious about the technology because they haven't seen it before.
